Morning Cnthree3,
Was your relative still alive in 1939?
Ancestry uk have a free weekend so you could check for their DOB in the 1939 National Register.
(If you have to register don't forget to untick auto sub before the weekend is over.)
Active links are now (after 13/04/2018) indicated by bold red italics. Just click on them.
The only stupid question is the one not asked

WILSON; Lancs, Lanrks.
BERRY; Lancs.
BORASTON; Salop, Worcs,
TYLER; Salop, Herefords.

Don't know if this is your guy but in the 1939 register there is an Andrew Brignall born 31 January 1886 with his wife Sara born 11 June 1894.  Andrew is a smallholder own account and they are living in Loftus.

Andrew's birth place varies: 1911 Cleveland, 1901 Upton, 1891 Lofthouse (Loftus?).  I don't know Yorkshire at all so don't know if these are close together.

In 1891 Andrew's parents are listed as Thomas and Elizabeth Brignall

In 1911 Andrew is living with his in-laws William and Kate Fewster or Fewsler and has tow children with his wise Sara Ann.

If not your guy might eliminate a possible.
