I didn't post it last night to confuse things but did find a marriage for Thomas King to a Keet ** and so that would mean two King/Keet pairings for children.

What year and where was marriage registered?

That could explain when I looked at FreeBMD and found King/Keet birth entries in Guildford before the 1928 marriage and Frank's birth

There are 3 King/Keet birth entries in Guildford 1924,1925,1927,
there are a few others after 1928 but not in Guildford

There are also King/Keet births in Wimborne 1926 and Westbourne 1928
didn’t know if they may be related

Daisy has birthplace Kinson Hampshire rather than Dorset so her baptism presumably in a different area.

That would explain why I couldn't see a 1905 baptism for Daisy Keet I forgot that her birth place was
given as Kinson Hampshire

I found a Thomas King marriage to Lily Keat (spelt slightly different to other Keets) in 1937 Sussex. Is that the one?

I think it must be the one.......possibly Lily Keet being the sister of Daisy (parents Solomon & Jane)
they also had a brother named Leonard

Possible death of father & son

Thomas King age 67 Birth 31 Aug 1904
Registration Date:   Sep 1971 Chichester Sussex Volume:   5h Page:   1564

Leonard King  Age:   70 Birth 25 May 1933
Dec 2003 Portsmouth Hampshire
Register Number:   E65A District and Subdistrict:   497/1E

Free Search of the 1939 register in Chichester Sussex
Thomas King 1904, Lily 1907 & Leonard 1933 (his birth shows mn KEET) in Chichester Sussex

If the correct Lily Keet (sister of Daisy) it's possible Thomas & Edward King may be related - it looks as if they only way of being absolutely certain is by obtaining both m/c to confirm  father's names

The only slight anomaly is Lily birth was registered in 1909 so doesn't match up with 1939 ???

KEET, LILY   mn SMITH
1909  M Quarter in WIMBORNE  Volume 05A  Page 222

maybe her death record would confirm dob

Thank you so much for this.
I have searched for Thomas and Edward King to see they were brothers but can find no censuses where they appear together. Is very frustrating. Have found loads about the Keets family but virtually nothing about the King family.

Going by the 31 Aug 1904 dob for death entry of Thomas King

These are the only Thomas King (without middle named) registered Sept. 1904

King   Thomas      Fulham            1a   192    mn BAKER
King   Thomas      Aston            6d   353    mn HANDS
King   Thomas      Chester le S.   10a   599    mn HARDIMAN

There’s this possible marriage in 1903 Chester le S
Thomas King
name on same page Margaret Hardiman but haven’t been able to match the others

Couldn't see an Edward King with the above mn but there was a Benson bn1906 - this family can be found on 1911 no son Edward

he may have died in same qtr.

KING, THOMAS    age    0
1904  S Quarter in FULHAM  Volume 01A  Page 189

and another son possibly named after him

KING, THOMAS    mn   BAKER
1906  J Quarter in FULHAM  Volume 01A  Page 266

Ok some interesting information which might help. My friend who I'm doing this for has just told me that Frank King had two sisters who died young and 2 brothers called Fred and Eddie (or Edward). And also his father Edward King killed his wife (Daisy) for having an affair and was convicted of manslaughter or murder.
Are there criminal records which might give us information about him?

Will type up the whole article if you don’t have access to F M P newspapers - have sent you a PM with the rest

Oh wow that's great. I don't have access to FindMyPast unfortunately so if you could get me the article I would really appreciate it. Thank you so much.

I think I found the other children - Edward 1927, Fred 1924, Lilly 1924 all in Guildford and May 1926 in Dorset. They are all before the marriage. Would they be allowed to put them as King before marriage?
