She is in the Rhondda in 1939, shown as married, but husband not there, and a daughter born in 1939. Head is a Jones though and 10 people in household, with several redacted records so he could be one of them. Doesn’t really help sorry.

Her husband Charles is on the previous page.
currently concentrating on NUTCHER & MARSHALL families, Hampshire.
and family of Thomas ANDERSON a Tailor of Perth, Scotland

Yes the birth certificate says father unknown. Ivy was born in Bridgend and did marry Charles Renney in 1937.
The son is alive, he has always wanted to find out who his father is, I’m doing this with his blessing.

Was he brought up by Ivy and Charles?

If he is still alive perhaps you could get as much information as you can from him or from his siblings if they are still alive, families are always a good source of information

FindMyPast didn’t want to show me the last record on the previous page and as the summary said ‘Jones household’ i assumed the first record was a Jones 🙄

Another post about the son earlier this week appears to have been removed by the moderator as he is still alive.  It was not the same poster

Info about Ivy Susan was also given in other replies on that post (ie) birth/ marriage and death

As on other post.  If there is no fathers name on his birth cert and his mother is now deceased and he either had no contact with her or she never disclosed his fathers name - then there is little if any chance of finding that info unless a living family member has it.

The other poster was Sandra Bee who may be known to you
