Strange address in census
« on: Sunday 21 April 19 12:58 BST (UK) »
I have come across some unusual addresses over the years but this one has me stumped.

'Two Sco left by Onisbathe, Cromdale, Inverallan and Advie, Inverness, Scotland'.

I assume it was a mistake on the part of the scribe taking the census? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think it might be worth looking at the original.  Will see if I have the odd SP credit.

I haven't seen the whole page, but it looks as though the number at the start of the line (24??) has been crossed out.

I wonder if this could be an explanation for that - possibly "Two sc[hedule]s left by mistake".
Researching among others:
Bartle, Bilton, Bingley, Campbell, Craven, Emmott, Harcourt, Hirst, Kellet(t), Kennedy,
Meaburn, Mennile/Meynell, Metcalf(e), Palliser, Robinson, Rutter, Shipley, Stow, Wilkinson

Yes  that is unlikely to be 'two'   could it be that  possibke 'mistake'

It seems to me that Mr Scribble was sent out as enumerator on that route that time ....

But I am sure Gadget and the deciphering experts will sort it out.

Thanks everyone but I have not seen the original document, only a transcript. The full transcript is
