Army birth, Palace Barracks NI
« on: Sunday 28 April 19 13:03 BST (UK) »
Good afternoon,
I am trying to trace the birth details of Shirley Hull born 1938 to George and Beatrice Hull. George was stationed at Palace Barracks, Hollywood, County Down. Beatrices maiden name was McGovern. I have searched on Ancestry and Findmypast to no avail. Can anyone help me please.
Pete

Ancestry and findmypast don't have births for Northern Ireland after about 1918. The only place that holds them is GRONI in Belfast. Their records of births within the past 100 years are open to the public but they are not on-line. Depending on where you live, you need to phone or e-mail GRONI and get them to send you a copy of the certificate. (Or if you live near Belfast you can go to GRONI or PRONI and look them up yourself). Contact details for ringing or e-mailing GRONI:

I see you live in the UK. If you give them a call, you can pay by credit card over the phone.

Is the person, born 1938 deceased? RootsChat policy is not to name anyone who is or who may be alive, or those who have recently died,  or to post identifiable information about them.
