WW2 draft gives John’s dob as 8 Dec 1890, Glasgow.

I'd look 1st at the census' of 1891/1901 to see if they fit the Kinning marriage based on locations so far found as Slammanan is further away.

And perhaps this is John with his mother and younger siblings.  Only thing is head of house is Marys mother Agnes MARSHALL not ROBERTSON. However birth places of Mary and John fit. Agnes could be on a second marriage.
