I think it must mean form 7 - I can't think what else it would be.

I would agree with 7 in Roman numerals.

Was it an English school in late 19th/early 20thC? Shipton or Skipton National? Might be Standard 7.  Are the girls aged around 10-12?

Yes I would say 1915-20 and it is Skipton National, the ages to be about right.

Standards were levels of education attained. Individual children may have reached Standard 7 at different ages. Some pupils left without getting to Standard 7.
