I am hoping someone can find a record of my great great grandfather's birth.

I believe David GRAHAM was born abt. 1831 in Dundee.

His father was David GRAHAM.

Even an entry for the family on the 1841 census would give me a great head-start.

Had a look for you on a David Graham, father David Graham. Found nothing to suggest a David born 1831 in Dundee. There are David Grahams' but they are born 1841 and one born in Dundee 1845. Do you know his mother's name, and are you sure that he was born in Dundee 1831?

The only reason I believe David GRAHAM was born in Dundee is because some other kind person on RootsChat gave me the following information from an earlier query in the Hampshire, England forum:

Hello Sarah, can't find your David Graham. You know sometimes they were not sure themselves exactley where they were born. Looked at the 1841 census thanks to FreeCen  http://freecen.rootsweb.com/ have a look for yourself. It's free. I still can't find anything. What makes you think he has the same christian name as his father and do you know his mother's name?
