Who was Mary Ann's father??
« on: Wednesday 22 May 19 17:09 BST (UK) »
Charles MOULE married the widow Mary WOOD St Peter & St Paul Church in the Parish of Aston July 11th 1842giving her father as Samuel Thorpe.
Mary Ann Hopkins (spinster) married John Wood 2 November 1835 All Saints B'HAM (before father's name was recorded on marriage entries)

But there is something odd here, both her Wood and Moule children are registered with mother's maiden name HOPKINS .In 1841 Charles Moule is in the same household as Mary Hopkins and a child also Mary Hopkins with the head of the household Samuel Thorpe, who was given as her father on the marriage the next year. Samuel Thorpe died in 1842.
How can Samuel Thorpe be Mary (Ann) Hopkin's father? Any ideas how to solve this strange situation please?
