Robertsons, Manitoba - marriages and deaths

More difficult in Canada because of privacy laws.  We did have a look round last months but without the middle initials, no positive sightings of either. The occupation of 1949 did not match. Would have been handy to have an exact date of birth for either. There was a hockey player GR but no proof.

Sandra I do have actual dates of birth for Andrew B. and James A as they were born in Scotland if those would be of any help?  For George I only have 1922 as his year of birth as he was born in Winnipeg.

They don't help so much in Canada but would be more benefit if either had moved to the usa.  If you would like to put them on the thread it could be helpful. we can check the USA ?
Neither were married according to 1949 voters list.

nothing for either one at dobsearch.com, searching for "Robertson" with exact dates of birth. The site covers the US, but I have never seen Canadian results on it. And it probably only includes data from the 1980's forward, when things started to be digitized.

Engagement announcement in the Winnipeg Free Press, July 10 1943.  It says that Mrs and Mrs A B Reid announce the engagement of their only daughter Ruth Janet to James Adams Robertson RCAF, second son of Mr and Mrs A D Robertson.  The wedding to take place on Aug 3 at Home Street United Church.

Obituary for George Gubbins Robertson in the Winnipeg Free Press June 14 1955

He was 32.  Address had been 1065 Garfield Street.  He died Monday at his home.  (Monday would have been the 13th).  Surviving are his father Andrew D Robertson, 2 brothers Andrew B and James A.  Burial Brookside Cemetery

George's mother Georgina (wife of A D Robertson) had died in 1954.  Pretty sure I posted that obit on your other thread.  Her address had been 1065 Garfield St.

Great Rk     more super info - - that confirmed the 1955 burial at Brookside  was the correct George.

Ruth rang a bell - she appeared on a Canada Voters List 1962 with James Robertson (machinist) at 533 Newman Street Winnipeg Manitoba.
