Canadians in Hampshire WW2?

Just to help me with a bit of family research please does anyone know if Canadian troops were stationed in Rowlands Castle during 1942, 1943 or 1944. My mother recalls seeing some there, she thinks before DDay but I'm wondering if it was in readiness for the doomed Dieppe landings in 1942.
