Redpath family in Berwick upon tweed
« on: Monday 03 June 19 19:22 BST (UK) »
Is anyone researching this family? There was a Christopher Redpath married to isabella (his second wife) He was a shoemaker in B upon T.  I believe they they died and are buried there in a churchyard. Does anyone have access to the burial records of the church there? I think there is an Ann Wilson (nee Redpath) and her husband Alexander Wilson buried there also. thanks, Retire

Though the Parish Register images don't appear to be online (unless someone knows different in which case I'd be interested) , the Bishops Transcripts are on Family Search  ( I think you may need to be signed in for the link to work)

Isabel:

Sadly it looks like April 1808- Mar 1809 are missing from the BTs so you'd need the Parish register for an image of Christopher's burial record.

NB though Berwick doesn't appear in the main BTS list on Family search, these images are viewable if you go via the catalogue search and click on the camera icon in the film list.

Berwick Holy Trinity burials from transcripts

Christopher Redpath, Shoemaker, died 2 Apr, buried 3 Apr 1808, age 73 yrs

Alexander Wilson died 23 Feb 1804, buried 25 Feb son of Alexander Wilson, Roper, and Ann his wife, late Redpath, age 1 yr, Stuffing.  [the only Alexander Wilson from 1803-1812]

No Isabella Redpaths of marriage age died 1803-1839 buried there that I can see.

Alexander Wilson, of Church St., age 74 buried 13 Mar 1839 [there should be a death cert for this one]
There are 3 Ann Wilsons.  Ann, age 33, of Church St, buried 22 May 1816; Ann, age 80 of Wallace Green, buried 10 Oct 1831; Ann, age 25 of Union St. buried 28 Oct 1831

Lots of Redpaths
