I think she could have been alive in 1933 when Peter died

I agree with Valerie1 the death record shows him as "married" LINK

I notice on the 1901 and 1911 census she is shown as ANNE which may be what her death was registered as
Kearney & Bourke/ Johns & Fox/ Mannion & Finan/ Donohoe & Curley
Byrne [Carthy], Keeffe/ Germaine, Butler/ McDermott, Giblin/ Lally, Dolan
Toole, Doran; Dowling, Grogan/ Reilly, Burke; Warren, Kidd [Lawless]/ Smith, Scally; Mangan, Rodgers/ Fahy, Calday; Staunton, Miller
Further generations:
Brophy Coleman Eathorn(e) Fahy Fitzpatrick Geraghty Haverty Keane Keogh Nowlan Rowe Walder

It is always possible that she re-married. Have you checked marriages?

Thank you both I did not look at marrying again I will look but if Peter died in 1933 she would have been getting on a bit.
I saw a relative of mines wedding details on line there wedding witness was Anne Carey but I can’t find a death for that name either
strange
Thanks for the reply

Valerie - I have just looked for a marriage but only up to 1939 and only in Dublin -- but couldn't see one with the correct father's name -- ie her maiden name.

I agree she 'would be getting on a bit' -- but if born in 1876, by the time her first husband died she would only be about 57 - so it's not beyond the realms of possibility.

Places of interest;
Lancashire, West Yorkshire, Southern Ireland, Scotland.

Maybe she is buried with her husband but her name was never added to the headstone, is his the only name on the stone?
