Gleeson, Pound St, Birr
« on: Tuesday 18 June 19 00:54 BST (UK) »
Hello

I’m looking for any information about a Gleeson family that resided at 9 Pound Street, Birr, likely around 1937-1947.

There were five children; Christina (eldest), Bridget, Mary, Brandon and Johnie (youngest).

We think that the mother may have died when Johnie was born and the children (eldest, Christina, 10 at the time) may have been placed in care.

Any help very much appreciated.

I started this as well as adding a comment on the very old thread, as I wasn’t sure if anybody would respond to that one and thought maybe a new thread would help. I appreciate all the help I’ve had with sites etc, I wasn’t trying to disrespect the order of threads etc!

No problem, just avoids duplication of stuff already posted.

No point in having people waste time finding what has already been found on other thread.

Totally makes sense.

Is there a way to delete the duplicate thread?

Hi Bridget,

When you reply to an old topic, they automatically rise to the top just like a "New topic" it is a very good way of updating your older topic with any updates keeping all the research together for review ;)

Regards

Sarah
