Maybe rather than looking for this Rose Cullen, we should be looking for a marriage for the Rose Cullen born in Dublin.
Need to read back the thread to see what is known about her.

Just reading over the thread again.
What proof has the woman you have contact with got that proves the Rose Cullen claiming to be from Cavan is the same Rose you found in Dublin.

I'm just wondering why the Cavan Rose Cullen is even being considered?

Thank you dathai for that. Sinnan Im beginning to think they are not the same Rose Cullen to be honest with you. This lady is sure her Roses parents are Patrick Cullen and Maria Quinn, Yes there is a birth record for  Rose Cullen but showing 1852 Dublin registers and not Cavan

It may be the case she was given those parents as a hint on one of the big genealogy sites, and with no other possibility showing she believes it to be fact.
If there is no reason to believe Patrick and Mary moved their family to Cavan when they were still quite young than there is no reason to believe your Rose would have claimed to be from Cavan.

It's also not impossible that there is more than one couple called Patrick Cullen and Mary Quinn having children around the same time but unless she has at least the marriage of Rose and Terence than she can't even prove Cavan Rose's father was called Patrick.
You need the marriage cert to get to the birth, one step at a time, leave out a step and even if you have the correct record you can't prove it.
It's a shame a marriage for Dublin Rose hasn't been found but she may not have married or may have died young.

Exactly right. Really thought I was onto something here but then reality sets in and the hope that maybe you can go forward from this line but its not to be. Marriages that have been found for Patrick and Maria are 1838 Dublin and 1845 Ballymore Eustace so even more confusing as no idea what's what
