Have you searched for the Marriage of Wm b 1857 ish?  See who father was, etc...
Give a man a record and you feed him for a day.
Teach a man to research, and you feed him for a lifetime.

Informants on Deaths can be very revealing but often ignored/overlooked

Don't want to infringe copyright so have removed some details......

Yes ta ...... married Ellen Davis 17 Oct 1890 at the Methodist Church in the town? of Lurgan, bachelor and spinster, he was a weaver, residence Annaloist [which I think is a strong point to us being related along with the DNA match and my Turkington ancestors] father Thomas, weaver. Her address Lurgan, father George, weaver. Witnesses Joseph Stewart and Mary A Hull

Yes, I do watch out for those but good reminder. I looked for deaths of this Wm and wife Ellen and his father Thomas but didn't come up with anything that looked like a good match. Should have another look

Ta for that.  :)
Another clue if you're lucky is to look at the neighbours on the census and see if they're related. Your post reminded me to do that [thanks!], and in 1901 they are next door to Mary Baxter 59yr, daughter Margaret 32 and son Thomas 23. With luck they are related to the Thomas Turkington m 1850 to Susannah Baxter [who I thought could be William's father]. So many related names in this street!
