General Yamasuta needing help WWII Japanese surrender
« on: Tuesday 02 July 19 22:33 BST (UK) »
I was sent 1000-2000 family images to scan - yes I have posted that here before. I am still sorting through the piles in to groups for family and of certain interests Ihave six sad images of the surrender of the Japanese at the end of WWII. I posted two if them on the WWII group and someone there suggested I repost here in hopes of getting a bit of restoration done. Any magic touch is appreciated

Thank you - the original  images are fragile and poorly treated intentionally.

Please,  Do you happen to have any photos where the interpretors, who were there, are shown in the photo?

Someone living just up the street from me was one of the Australian interpretors. - it would be such a surprise if I could show him one of these photos.

Wiggy - sorry I have posted the six images I found among my Father-in-law's buried treasures- I have about a dozen more small images taken possibly in the Philippines or South Pacific which, to my guess, were sold as a packet of souvenirs and they are of local peoples in their everyday lives. I knew these six would have some significance to my children, grandchildren and great grands so I posted them to share and hopefully get repaired copies - which thankfully the wonderful members of this group have willingly and freely done.  I thank you all for the results I have been given.
