Sandra I have since found the following records & am left wondering if James Sisk was ever in Canada?
UK British Army Muster Books & Pay Lists 1812-1817
1. Sgt James Sisk from CLoyne Co Cork 25/12/1813 to 24/3/1814 Winchester Depot
2. 25/12/1816 to 24 March 1817 Southern Ireland Depot stationed Waterford to Cork
3. 25 March 1817 to 24 June 1817 Southern Ireland Depot Cork to Clonmel States Wife Mary Sisk
1 child age 2yr 6months Interestingly on this record there is also a Thomas Hackett with wife
Elizabeth 1 child 2yrs 6months. This Thomas Hackett was also on my original P ost with James
enlisting in 1813 October for the Canada british force.
There is a Gap from 24th March 1814 to December 1816 so maybe he was in Canada at this time from Winchester. What are your views?
