Looking for a John CLARKE who arrived on the SEVILLA in Otago 1859 with his wife and 2 daughters(all unamed)I would like to know where he went and the names of his family please. Thanks Lnr

Looks like there was a J B Clarke in the region before the arrival of yours.  Haven't ascertained the former's first name.

However there is a passage not long after your fellow's arrival, to Lyttelton which might be interesting to consider

Could that be the John B Clarke, who is on the E/R's for Otago?

The other with the same initials are a John Betts Clarke and a John Bligh Clarke.  Note: I'm not saying that they are the J B Clarke that Twiggy found, but for elimination purposes if needed.

Have you any births/ages that can help us find the needle in the haystack?

Hi this is a difficult one looking for a Margaret Leslie clark/e parents she possibly born abt1842  Glasgow?She married a John Mckenzie and was in nz 1862 no parents names on marriage/death certs thanks LNR

Hello,

From a tree on line, father's name is John Clark. (Tree didn't have an e)  Mother unknown.

Marriage:
22 Mar 1863 Waihola Presbyterian Manse to John (Tiemi) Mckenzie.
Birth 11 August 1840, Tuatuku, Otago and died 10 September 1907 Rotoura.

Margaret Leslie Clarke abt 1842, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland and she died 14 November 1916 in Rotorua.
