Looking for a town in Ireland- completed
« on: Wednesday 17 August 05 09:28 BST (UK) »
Hi there,
Does anyone know of a town called Peldon in Ireland. I came across a relative in the 1871 Middlesex, England census stating she was born in Peldon, Ireland. I have looked over the internet and cannot find Peldon in Ireland. I know it  definitely states Ireland in the census but I may be reading the town wrong due to the hand writing. Is there a town that sounds similar???

Would love to solve the mystery.
Vanessa

Hi Vanessa,

Is it 24 year old Jane Jones? If so I think it says Kildare.  ;D

Hope this helps,

Carol
