William souter

Looking for any info.on William Souter.  Born in Meigle Perth Scotland in 1791 according to the census. I believe his wife's name was Elizabeth.  I have looked on Scotland's people to no avail.  Any information would be gratefully received.  Thank you

1851 SOUTER - Fore Abbey Street, Arbroath – they were also there in 1841. 50 & 40

He may have married ELIZABETH ALLAN 30/06/1836 Arbroath

ELIZABETH   WILLIAM SOUTAR/CHRISTIAN GELLATELY   28/02/1782   Bendochy

Above birth marriage on SP below on Family Search:

William Suttor baptised 6 Dec 1788 MEIGLE, PERTHSHIRE. Father William
Clarke, Trickett, Orton, Lawless, Norton, Detheridge, Kirby, Goodfellow, Wagstaff, Lowe, etc.

We often see Sailor/Tailor mixed up.

On the 1841 he was a Tailor, 1851 Retired Tailor both on freecen Transcriptions.

In which case are you referring to the William Souter who in 1871 is living in Sunderland with wife Elizabeth?
