Thank you Debra. Yep, that would do it.  :-[ I have found a marriage bond for Abraham Day and  Annie Elliott dated 1877

I've been trying to find his military record without success maybe that would have more family details. I think he would have served with the  2nd Canadian Mounted Rifles. There is this book but it's not online...
