This could be Mary Cecilia O'Sullivan.

Mary C. Osullivan  b1892  Nationality: Canadian.  Ethnicity: Irish  Roman Catholic.
Mother  Ellen I. Osullivan  b1863  Nationality: Canadian.  Ethnicity: Irish  Roman Catholic.

Welcome to rootschat, Mariel.

When you say that you have no other details, did your great grandmother marry again, did Nellie marry and is her father showing as alive on her marriage certificate, what is Thomas's father's name or Thomas's occupation from the marriage or daughter's birth certificate?
My gr grandmother married twice more but I can’t find her marriage certificates. I have full info on Nellie and her marriages, her father is listed as deceased. His occupation on his marriage certificate is tradesman.

Did Thomas die in WW1 then,or did they live in Canada and might appear on censuses in 1911 or 1921?

Not WW1. Around 1908 I’m told. He was from Canada, Mary Cecilia from Australia. They met, married and had a baby in South Africa 1904/05.

Hi there and welcome to Rootschat.

Where did they live,die.

Did Nellie/Nelly marry if so when and where and to whom?
As she is the only one whom we have a year of birth for.
Was she actually born in South Africa?

You may think that you have little to go on,but we're good here on working with the tiniest scrap of info  ;D

Carol
Hi Carol, I’m hoping you can help with my tiny scrap. I have most details for Nellie but she never knew her father. Yes she was born in Sth Africa. Her birth certificate says he was Canadian and a tradesman. Family story was that he died around 1908 but no proof. Nellie’s mother remarried in Australia but I can’t find the marriage certificate. This has been a dead end for us for many years and I’d really like to find his details. Hope you can help.

It's the Canadian bit that worries me, the online marriage record does'nt mention that, do you have the originals of the marriage and Nellie's birth?  What state in Australia did Mary re-marry and do you know the names of the spouses and did she marry with the name Day or O'Sullivan? Sorry for all these questions but the more we know the better.

There should be a great deal more family history info on that m.c.
What were the full details ..

Eg ...  :) Mothers' names including maiden surname
:) date and place of ceremony, and denomination of clergy or civil only
 :) Who were the witnesses?
 :) previous marriage details

The image can be purchased and downloaded from Victoria's BDM

No mmn on record.  Married at St. Pauls Cathedral Melbourne.  Witnesses look like Roy Smith and Stanley Allen.

Part image.   Who is Richard Knight?
