Thomas Halĺ born Hexham

Could someone please find me any info on Thomas Hall born 1796 in Hexham and any parents.  He appears in London as a linen draper in 1841, a silk mercer in 1851 & 61 and an insurance agent in 1871. He died 15.08.1873.
Possibly he had a brother William who was born around the same time.  William was a postmaster in London.  William's son William (born 1814) and his wife recorded Thomas's address on their marriage certificate, 103 Bishopsgate Road, London

You can search the same dataset for William (you didn't state how old the postmaster was) , to see if a father of the same name crops up.

I don't know his age. I only know his son William was born 1814.
It's possible that William the father of Thomas is also the father of William (1814) but equally Thomas may have a brother William.  I am unsure how I can prove either.
