Hi, I wouldn't have thought of looking at Irish records, so very grateful for that! Also, just to confirm having looked at the marriage record that Ernest's father was Richard Hall and he was a baker, so definitely a match )

As well as Elsie, it looks as if they had another daughter after Ernest Alfred junior too.
