Unidentified naval cap badge
« on: Monday 29 July 19 08:54 BST (UK) »
*** SOLVED! ** Is anyone able to help with identifying this cap badge? The family had naval connections in both wars and the period in between. The badge appears to show a letter C upon a flag, with what looks like a foliage background. Thanks in advance. NOW SORTED!

I might be wrong but I don't think that it's c but a circle. You should put this

pic on the military history board.

It does look like a C, I have another photo from the same family also showing a similar badge. I'll try in the military section as you suggest.

Could the "C" actually be "G".
The style of the photo looks closer to WW1 than 2.
Guinness & Co. perhaps.

Looking at the other photo I have it's definitely a G not a C ... so Guinness Shipping Fleet it is! Thanks very much for giving it your thoughts :)
