Is it possible to let me know where you got the information regarding Colin's passing?

There are a few sites like https://www.gendatabase.com/ and https://www.identitynumber.org/ that have this information. You would have to pay if you want to know his date DOD /Location etc. I can't advise you reg the pay option because I have never required it as I don't have any personal connections to SA. There might be some other rootschatters who might be able to pass on their experiences reg the pay options.

Hi gendatabase is easy to join - you can pay for as little as a day's access - for about $10. The "death" record on there will be a simple extract from the Government Gazette so it will not contain a lot of information it my give you the name of the spouse, cause of death and date of death and location of death. If you can find an estate no for either of them that would give you details of who stood to inherit.
