Does it give any other information about his brothers in america?
Like a birth date, or birthplace etc?

Does it not mention anything about their parents?

Nope !

Nope !

I'm thinking either his parents were deceased or they were orphaned from the off.
Well i suppose i'll probably never know.
I'm very happy with the information i've been given  :) because i hardly had any!

Sorry if you have replied to this question but I don't really want to go back the 8 pages in this thread,  do you have Maurice's marriage certificate.  If so what information does it give including witnesses

I appreciate that £11 is a lot of money to gamble but the marriage certificate may name his father or the witnesses could give a lead.  He could also have given a false name for his father on it, sadly you won't know without buying it.

ADDED I did wonder if we could locate where the marriage took place in case someone could look it up for you but 'Marriage locator' does not find it

GRO Index: 1894 quarter 2, volume 4b, page 205:
Sorry, we cannot locate the church for this marriage. The entry is located between entries for Norwich St Michael at Coslany and Norwich St Paul, both in RD Norwich.
