Ann Shorter 1854
« on: Thursday 08 August 19 15:58 BST (UK) »
In 1911 Ann Youngman (née Shorter) 1855, was living in Impington Cambridge with her husband Harry and a number of "Shorter Children. Ann married Harry in 1900. (Chesterton)

In 1881 I found Ann Shorter 1854 (b. Histon) living with her husband George in West Ham.

Can anyone find her maiden name?

Marriage took place 19 August 1878 Stratford St John. Her father Richard Christmas Builder, his father George Ewells, Blacksmith

Doesn't specify if it should be George Ewells Shorten or not, just says George Ewells

Gosh ..... lots of info.  Christmas is certainly a Histon name. I found Ann Christmas age 8 in 1861 in Histon .. Parents Richard and Sarah .... so looks good. Thank you. Also 1871 living Histon.

Interesting that Ivy (1908) was  born in America.

Thanks again

Bob
