1939 register
« on: Wednesday 14 August 19 20:43 BST (UK) »
I subscribe to Find my Past and want to access the 1939 Register.
I have identified the guy I'm looking for but when I try to click-on to 'open' the Register with details a box comes up saying 'RETRY - YOU ARE NOT CONNECTED'
When I c/o RETRY I lose the page altogether. Anyone else have this problem and how is it best resolved?
Thanks.

Is the problem specific to that record or is it affecting other lookups you try to do on the register?

That message sounds more like an internet problem but it could be that it's a variation on FindMyPast's OOPs messages when they are overloaded or having some of their problems.

Could you do a screen shot of the message and put it up here.

Added - just tried it and it works for me.

Thanks -
it's just the 1939 Register - have used it with no problem in the past.
Will give it another go later.

But is it everything on the 1939 register or just the one record you were trying to open?

I'm getting lots of "500" error messages on FindMyPast today and it is running very slow.

It was ok for me yesterday, but now I am getting 500 errors too. I expect it will sort itself out soon.

Just tried it, and no problems.
Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.
