Marine Fireman Glasgow
« on: Thursday 15 August 19 23:10 BST (UK) »
I’m hoping somebody can point me in the right direction. My gggrandfather was John Smith born 1839 in Mouswald. He moved to Glasgow married Janet Graham and they had three children. Their daughter Margaret Ferguson Smith died less then a year old in Glasgow. I have John and Janet on 112 Plantation St in 1901 and Janet living there in1905. Janet died whilst living at 167 West street with her son James Graham Smith. I can find nothing for John Smiths death or burial. I assume he was buried with his daughter and wife but I can’t locate their graves either in Glasgow or Mouswald or Dumfries.  I looked at all the John Smith that got his age on Scotland’s People but no luck. Any help would be great. He is listed as a Marine Fireman on the census.
