The only way you might find them is to get the birth certificate of daughter Elizabeth Thompson who was 10 in 1881. So that should give their address in 1871 and you may be able to find them via that.
Thanks groom, the budget is limited and though this will go on the wishlist, it will have to be quite far down as other records on the list would provide bigger benefits.
Plus, I am not too convinced that they would have had an actual 'address', looking at the census lots of entries just say 'Dunston' or 'Team' rather than street names or numbers.
