William Kemp was baptised at Hessle, 11 June 1821.

Mother: Susanna.

No father named, so he may well have been illegitimate (and invented a father’s details when he married).

Essex: Eldred (Pebmarsh)
Gloucs: Timbrell (Winchcomb)
Hants: Stares (Wickham)
Lincs: Maw, Jackson (Epworth, Belton)

Surrey: Gosling (Richmond)
Wilts: Matthews, Tarrant (Calne, Preshute)
Worcs: Milward (Redditch)
Yorks: Beaumont, Crook, Moore, Styring (Huddersfield); Middleton (Church Fenton); Exley, Gelder (High Hoyland); Barnes, Birchinall (Sheffield); Kenyon, Wood (Cumberworth/Denby Dale)

Thanks but the dates are incorrect. My son William was born 1844 and his brother 1852.
There is a half brother in the mix one Joseph Smith. The father was born Abt 1818 and his father before was William.....so confusing

I am not sure what you mean about the dates bring incorrect.  You have asked about William Kemp who married Mary Smith in 1843, and tracing his parentage.  I have suggested an 1821 baptism at Hessle, a mother (Susan/Susanna Kemp) a stepfather (Joseph Raywell) and some Raywell half-siblings for him based on the 1841 census in which he appears before his marriage.

You’re welcome.  You will find in family history that it was very common for people born out of wedlock to invent paternal details on their marriage to avoid the stigma of illegitimacy - which may well be what William did on his marriage in 1843.
