I'm told it was between the Great Western Public House(now closed) and the Railway Station.

I've also e-mailed Morganllan to see if she knows if it still exists.

Gars House is shown on this 1961-63 map https://www.old-maps.co.uk/#/Map/330078/343892/12/100954
where the Gasometer is shown on this 1874 map https://www.old-maps.co.uk/#/Map/330078/343892/12/100231

This could be the house in this aerial view https://goo.gl/maps/NYG9GXUm1QdjXJBRA
You can see the circular front

I've just heard from Morganllan:

Quote
Apparently it's near the old Great Western Railway pub, known as the Nant in my days at Ruabon. It's still there apparently and has a turret now

Someone has posted on Llangollen and Ruabon history Facebook page "This is the Brewery and Great Western Inn Ruabon

Another e-mail from Morganllan with a couple of clips from Google maps. I could put a clip up but I think it would be breaching copyright.

So ~

On Google maps, if you home in to W.End Terrace/Afon Eitha, it's the long curved building in grey with the central turret.
