John KING baptism ~1803 Kirtlington
« on: Sunday 15 September 19 16:32 BST (UK) »
Can someone direct me to the online view of baptisms in Kirtlington for the period 1800-1810.

I have Ancestry subscription and have found where it should be located

https://www.ancestry.co.uk/search/collections/oxfordshirebaptisms/

But the baptisms book available only starts at 1813.

I am looking to find the baptism of John King in Kirtlington about 1803. General search does not find something; wanted to look at the actual record book of the parish.

Any help finding information about John will be appreciated  :)

It might be better if this thread was under Oxfordshire, not Gloucestershire.

Rosie, that is what I found that there is not a record for the baptisms before 1813 available to view. Would I need to contact OFHS?

Can a Mod move this thread to the Oxfordshire section? Thanks for noticing the mistake Emeltom that's what happens when researching Keen's in Gloucestershire and King's in Oxfordshire it's a bit of a muddle :s

There is a previous thread Oxfordshire Rootschat - started 6 December 2013 - Headed

KING married KING?

one reply stated:

I went to the OFHS centre yesterday and looked through some parish records.

I found the baptism of John (Kirtlington 1803) and the marriage of his parents Charles & Elizabeth (Tackley 1772) which is a bit ealirer than I expected etc. etc.

I found the baptism of Elizabeth (1812 in Tackley) etc etc etc.
