James Wilson - Birmingham Police Drill Master

James F Wilson 1818 - 1897. Fought in the Crimea as a Sergeant Major with the Royal Horse Artillery and then worked for Birmingham Police Force.
Married Prudence Downs 1823 - 1892, Children - Mary Jane born 1848 Woolwich, Sarah Ann born 1850 West Ashford, Jessy born 1855 Dublin - 1865? , Clara Wilson married Charles Pryse (a nephew of the famous Charles Pryse), Allan James 1861 - 1877, Emmanette born 1868 married Thomas Bradbear.

QUESTION - I can't find marriage or death of Mary Jane, Sarah Ann or Jessy. Any suggestions?

Which censuses can you find them in, and when do you lose Mary, Sarah and Jessy?

Where is the proposed death?

Jessy born 1855 Dublin - 1865?

Are all the children born with mmn Downs?

Mary and Allan also have mmn as Woodward.  So do we take it that mum was married to a Downs before she married James?

Prudence Downs born 1823 Solihull; married James F Wilson 27 Aug 1846 Edinburgh.
James F Wilson born 1818 Cumberland, joined army 1833 age 15.
All children born Downs. Source census 1851, 1861, 1871

Have you got the birth reference for e.g. Allan James Wilson, as the only one I could find has mother's maiden name as Woodward (as stated above in my post)?
