If so, when did they return?  Did they have a child in Australia, or at sea?

Thank you for those snippets. I had come across them during my Galbraith research journey but still cannot be 100% certain that the travellers are mine, although I strongly suspect they are, as I know family in Victoria had been visited at some stage.

These are the registered Galbraith births apart from Annie Mary.....

UK 1911 census states Dinah Galbraith bore 6 children alive. One died with 5 still living.

Otago Daily Times, 25 Aug 1864, under Port Chalmers Shipping, has "Mr & Mrs James Galbraith and 2 children" on the Sydney Packet to Newcastle ...

Edit: Oh, I see someone has already suggested this.
