Is this likely to be Emma

From Abingdon St Helens PRs
Baptism
1845 Mar 30 GARDINER Emma, d/o George & Mary, weaver, Ock St, born 27 Feb 1845

A Sarah HATTO buried there in 1873 and a Joseph in 1876.

Ian C

Looks a strong possibility that it's the right Emma.
Joseph and Sarah could be Adam's parents

There's an Emma Hatto aged 56 from Abingdon in the 1901 census in Bampton, A tailoress, married, with a son Henry Hatto (Ancestry transcribes the name as Hersey Hatto) aged 13 born Oxford.

He looks like Henry Clifford Hatto mmn Hall, reg Headington Q2 1887.
I was just assuming it was Emma Gardiner because of Louisa's surname.
Or the Emma Hatto in Bampton is not the right Emma ::) ???

Henry Clifford Hatto seem to be someone else (from baptism and census returns - son of Joseph and Jessie).

I haven’t been able to trace Emma’s son Henry other than in the 1901 census already found by ShaunJ. He appears to be a strong candidate for the mystery Hatto child.

But where is Henry in 1891, Adam and Emma don't have a child with them.

True - and Henry Clifford is not with his parents Joseph and Jessie in 1901.

So one possibility is that the Henry found with Emma in 1901 is in fact Henry Clifford Hatto, perhaps a nephew rather than (as stated) her son, and the search for her deceased child goes on.

I think nephew is right
I have Henry Clifford Hatto in 1911 with parents Joseph and jessie in Cheshire. Joseph was born in Chilton in abt 1861, which matches with the Joseph who is Adam's youngest brother.
There is a marriage in Headington district in 1887 for Joseph Hatto, Jessie Hall a possible bride
