RajahNZ - Leave a message for the family here
« on: Sunday 22 September 19 05:31 BST (UK) »
Dear rootschat community

After a short illness, it is with sadness I inform you one of our members RajahNZ quietly and comfortably passed away last night,  Saturday 21st, New Zealand time. Rajah was a seasoned member and as with many in our genealogy community generous in her approach and time. Rajah has made many friends on her journey traveling the yellow brick road to shatter those stubborn walls which hold the essence of distant memories.

I will miss you dear friend

I was at the travel agency yesterday checking out flights to New Zealand to finally meet Raj in person.  We have had great chats over the phone and many chats and emails over the years.
We sent gifts to each other and I finally was in a position to meet up but it's not meant to be.

I'm sitting here crying with sadness that such a wonderful, thoughtful, caring person is not around to chat to anymore.  I just hope she can visit ancestors and break down those brick walls and fill in the gaps with lots of details.

Farewell Jean.  May your new journey be wonderful.

Sad news to hear.  I spoke to Rajah a few times in the Chat Room when I first joined RC, I know she will be missed in the room.

Will miss our chats. You always spoke a little bit of Maori to me, teaching me words i didn't know. Always greeting me and saying goodbye in Maori too.

You helped me with family research, finding items i'd looked for and never found. I remember you did a lot of voluntary work as well. You will be sadly missed though I'm sure we'll all remember the good times we had

Haere Ra Jean.  Rest in Peace <3

Love and hugs to your daughter <3
