Familysearch issues
« on: Friday 27 September 19 06:54 BST (UK) »
Is it just me, or is there something different with familysearch?
The last couple of days, I've signed in as normal, but when I have tried to do a search that I have done before, all I get is results from the censuses, no parish records.
Has anyone else encountered this?
I am Australian, from all the lands I come (my ancestors, at least!)

Pine/Pyne, Dowdeswell, Kempster, Sando/Sandoe/Sandow, Nancarrow, Hounslow, Youatt, Richardson, Jarmyn, Oxlade, Coad, Kelsey, Crampton, Lindner, Pittaway, and too many others to name.
Devon, Dorset, Gloucs, Cornwall, Warwickshire, Bucks, Oxfordshire, Wilts, Germany, Sweden, and of course London, to name a few.

It does seem odd. I've just entered John Jones with no specific country, age, parents, type of record, etc. and got a list from  US census records. I then clicked on the collections tab and was able to choose from a listing.

Maybe they have changed the search.

It's always been the case that you should enter the country, otherwise you get the American items too.

I think it must be the first time I've not selected a country.

I have always selected country and county, yet now only get census entries. If I limit the search by record type, I get nothing.

Same here. I typed in Walworth for Parker's and I got all Australian results instead of the London borough.

I removed, London, UK and just put in Walworth but also got:

Are you selecting England from the Map choice, Coombs?

I've never selected on the map just used the options on the search. Never had a problem until this week.
