Mother:-   Mary Ann MILLEN b  c1831 London
married Aug 1850 St John the Baptist, Shoreditch, London
Children:-
William John GALE b 1852 London - seems to have remained unmarried until 1901
Richard Edward George GALE b 1854 London - Married Elizabeth DAWES 1875 - they had 4 boys
Thomas GALE b 1856 London - traced up to 1881 but from then on he's a mystery - several on 1901 that are possibles
Mary Ann Ellen GALE b 1858 London - lost after 1861
Ellen GALE b 1861  London - lost after 1861
Henry GALE b 1863 London - married Alice Gertrude MITCHELL - had one son
Alfred GALE b 1865 London - seems to have remained unmarried until  1901
Charles GALE b 1868 London - know all about this one (my grandfather)
Edwin GALE b 1871 London - not with family in 1881 so presumable died
Louisa GALE b 1873 London - seems to have remained unmarried until 1901 - owned a boarding house (55 Elliott St)
Frederick GALE b 1876 London - married Alice Louise SAMSON 1899

Hello Sheila
I have an Ellen Gale in my family tree, probably not the same one, but I thought I would share it with you just in case.

My Ellen was born around 1868 in East Woodhay, Hants, she married my Great Grandfather in 1894 in Kingsclere, Hampshire, his name was Stephen Torrance.  Doubt if they are related in anyway, but just thought I would tell you - you never know!
