As others have said, if you give as much info as you know it does help others to help you.

The death registration posted by Ladyhawk is quite possible. IF he was born in Newcastle there are two possible birth registrations for a child of that name as you have 6 weeks in which to register a birth
Q4 1915, MMN Backhouse
Q1 1916 MMN Bailey

There is a death notice for a man of this name which would match the death reg posted. Newcastle Evening Chronicle 18 Feb 1988. Can't transcribe it fully in here as it mentions family members and we are not allowed on Rootschat to name or discuss anyone who may still be alive.

Fenham Silver Lonnen, died 16 Feb, aged 72. Funeral was at English Martyrs RC Church and buried Elswick Cemetery. He was married, had children and grandchildren.
If you are in the area Newcastle Library have these newspapers on microfilm.

The death notice was for an Alfred Wilson - which matches the death registration Ladyhawk posted with date of birth, month registered, year of registration, district of registration and both first name and surname.

Fenham Silver Lonnen is the area of Newcastle he had lived in.

I thought the same as you Carole  :D

Good find Tickyettyboo

All I know is he was born 26 Dec 1915 and was a shell worker in 1939 living on George Rd Newcastle upon Tyne

His father was a William Wilson and he must have died prior to 1939 as Margaret is listed as a widow.

Margaret’s maiden name was Bailey and her middle name Stephenson. That’s pretty much all I know.

For info.

Here's an index transcription of marriage giving William's age

Margaret Stephenson BAILEY age 19
Marriage 5 Mar 1898 St Ann'S, Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, Northumberland
Father:   John Bailey
Spouse:   William WILSON age 22 (1876) father William

Given his age at marriage a possible death entry for Alfred's father William

William WILSON age   48 (1876)
Mar 1924 Newcastle upon Tyne Volume:   10b Page:   64

Morning guys, for some reason my last post last night hasn’t posted but I can’t recall what I had typed. You guys are great! I’ve managed to find them on the Electoral roll in Silver Lonnen so I now know who he married.

It’s so hard I try to follow my gut as much as I can but with having no relatives to ask i always doubt myself and have on a couple of occasions researched the wrong stems so it is nice to be able to find that I am sometimes going in the right direction with a little help. Thank you.

That is definitely the correct marriage, the baileys have a very complicated family tree from what I’ve found. I’d love to know what actually went on back in the day. Margaret was basically my great great grandmothers sister.

he he, come on, I know I am not exactly the brightest penny in the purse but even I am not going to search for something for Alfred Wilson and then give info about some random, unusual name and say There is a death notice for a man of this name which would match the death reg posted
:-)

Burial Record for Alfred Wilson at Elswick Cemetery is available on family search:

https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3Q9M-CSJN-V96G-T?i=592&cat=828351

I checked the graves register in the hope that his wife may be buried with him, but no mention of her in that grave and I can't see her name in the index.

https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3Q9M-CS1L-33QS-W?i=646&cat=828351

If you are in the area and want to check to see IF there is a headstone, Elswick Cemetery is large. The section map  should give you a starting point to find grave 540 in Section R
