Benjamin Stafford
« on: Tuesday 15 October 19 09:28 BST (UK) »
Looking for any information on Benjamin STAFFORD.  Born in 1809 in Burton on Trent Staffordshire.  Died 1878.  I am unable to find him in 1841 or 1851. However in the census of 1861 I notice he had a child born in Belgium in 1853. This was six years after his last child was born in England. Is it possible to find out when he went to Belgium possibly to do with the lace trade?

There were no Passenger Lists between UK and Europe.
Maybe he can be found on Belgian records?

Hi,

He might have had another child, Benjamin born 1849, who died in Brussels. I can't find a birth for him so hmaybe he was born there,

They left Saint-Gillis for Nottingham on 5 February 1854.  (Sint-Gillis or Saint-Gillis municipality in the Brussels-Capital Region)
