John Bruce Whyte
« on: Wednesday 16 October 19 12:30 BST (UK) »
I am looking for any record of John Bruce Whyte reputedly b 25 May 1808 and baptised 29 May 1808 at Brechin.
His parents were David Whyte b abt 1771 Aberlemno and Catherine Campbell b abt 1775 Aberlemno.
Where and when all these people died is of particular interest.
Many thanks,
Geoff

Have you searched the records at www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk? If not, that should be your first port of call.

BTW use wildcards as the name may turn up as White. Wh*te will find both variants.
Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.

John Bruce White birth you have is correct. He had 5 siblings, James 1797, Mary 1800, Margaret 1803, Elizabeth 1806 & Isabel 1812, all born in Aberlemno.
David White married Katharine at Dunnichen, 29/6/1794.
Still looking for deaths.

At the time of John Bruce's baptism I see that his father David was a labourer at Ladehead of Auldbarr. near Brechin.
