This looks a possible burial -

18 Jun 1816, Wellington - Margaret Corbett, aged 87.

If it is the correct Margaret, she would have been circa 27 at marriage.

A Margaret Worral baptism : Eyton on Wealdmoors 19 Nov 1732. Parents - Daniel and Margaret

Thanks Craclyn for the welcome.
It seems that I am looking for Corbetts as well.

Wow you have found my 7th Great Grandparents-unbelievable.
Can I assume that Thomas and Margaret were married in St Catherines Church?

Thank you
Corryn

Yes, the parish church  :)

I've also got Corbetts (alternative spellings!) in that area. Some were landed gentry:

You're welcome  :)

I've got quite a few ancestors in that area, most of them moving slowly towards Denbighshire.

So far, I've not found a marriage for Margaret Worral's parents but I think I might have found the marriage of a brother, also a Daniel, in Eyton in June 1756 to an Elizabeth Pixley.

There's a burial for a Daniel Worral in Lillieshall ( to the East of Eyton) on 11 June 1782, aged 78. This would make him born circa 1704, so a possible for the father.

Gadget,
I showed your findings to my grandfather, he was so impressed he forgot about the snooker  ;D

You said there was a burial for a Daniel Worral in Lillieshall, I visited Lillieshall a few years ago with our under 16 football team, where we were known as United Nations because we were made up of 1 Chinese 1 Scot, 1 Irish, 2 English, 2 Asian and the rest of us Welsh.  ;D
If I had known then what you have found for me I could have done some research at the same time.
Never mind I've got until September next year to find out more about the family.

Thanks again

I've just found a tree that has Thomas Corbett born July 1733, Wellington. His parents are given as Thomas Corbett (b. 1708) and Elizabeth Pritchard (b. 1708).  Margaret Worral bpt 1732, as my previous post.

Thomas snr's father given as William Corbett (1659) and mother as Elizabeth Onions (1660-1729)

I've not checked these but will try to do it tomorrow at some point.

I've checked the information given in the tree and the people mentioned are all recorded in the various parish records. However, I can't find any proof that they are the ancestors of your Thomas.

There was one will/bond of a Thomas Corbett, labourer, of Wellington who died in 1796, which gave, as the sole executor,  his widow, Margaret Corbett. The value of the estate was under £100.  Died intestate.
