Thomas Garnett of Ellesborough

Hi

I've found a death record of Thomas Garnett but I cannot find his birth record. I’ve also come across two marriage records to a Peggy Smith but they're a year apart. He's 5x great-grandfather so I really want to find who his parents are. I'm assuming they'd be on the birth/christening record. I think he was born around 1776 in/near Ellesborough and he definitely died in Ellesborough in 1847. Also, can’t find him on the 1841 census. Anyone have any info on him in their trees?

There is a tree on fs for Thomas Garnett (search for his marriage and click on the tree symbol on the right) which has an image of his death cert which states that when he died in 1847 he was 71 years old, giving a birth year of 1776. Unfortunately there isn't a source given for his birth.

Abode: Lancr.
Later Baptisms have Mothers name as Betty or Elizabeth, Father Anthony
