2mi3museum : Family Relics & Collection
« on: Tuesday 22 October 19 14:14 BST (UK) »
Dear friends,

I'm Dimitri Vafiadis and i'm running after my family history for over years. Luckily i have many photographs and the stories behind them. Last year i started an online e-museum project which is called '2mi3museum'.

2mi3museum, is an e-museum of a Greek, Armenian and Italian family that still lives in Turkey from 1800s to date, with old photographs, collections of coins, toys, wares...

The surnames that belong to my family are Vafiadis, Sanzoni, Mıgırdician, Koulurgioti, Koskeri, Akasi and Cakiroglu...As you can understand from those surnames i'm a Greek, Italian, Armenian man who lives in Istanbul, Turkey.

Here on this webpage, i share the stories of family members, their photographs and the objects that they had. Also share my personal collections, which will be family relics after years:)

Since one year, the project has been published in a book in Turkey and also in Family Tree Magazine UK. You can also check on  https://www.2mi3museum.com/our-family-in-books

During this project i found some of my cousins which i've never met before :)

I would like to share with you my Family Museum, and who knows may be you know some of the family members and we can share stories...

I hope you will enjoy,
2mi3museum

Welcome to RootsChat.  I like your museum - I'm a collector myself, though different objects.  I don't have any Turkish, Armenian or Italian connections but I'm sure you'll find some here who do.

Welcome to rootschat Dimitri. I don’t have any heritage from the same regions as you, but I still find your e-museum very interesting. It is wonderful to see how much you treasure your family relics.

Dear All,

Thanks for your motivating comments. Actually it's really hard track ancestors in this region. Surnames changed, people migrated...etc. But luckily i found two cousins during this research by old photographs.
