How do you know George was born in Spitalfields?
Any other information would be helpful for people looking to help you. At least they won't post what you already know.
Have you looked for any Wagstaff wills? They might contain clues as to George's origins.
I am Australian, from all the lands I come (my ancestors, at least!)

Pine/Pyne, Dowdeswell, Kempster, Sando/Sandoe/Sandow, Nancarrow, Hounslow, Youatt, Richardson, Jarmyn, Oxlade, Coad, Kelsey, Crampton, Lindner, Pittaway, and too many others to name.
Devon, Dorset, Gloucs, Cornwall, Warwickshire, Bucks, Oxfordshire, Wilts, Germany, Sweden, and of course London, to name a few.

Thanks for your reply
I have the parish death record for him and it gives his age, so can work out what year he was born
I also have the parish record of his marriage to Susannah King which shows the parish he came from
It could be wrong, but I had very little to work with
Thanks for the idea of looking at wills, I'll see what comes up

Just because someone marries in a particular Parish it does not necessarily mean that they were born there. Even if the marriage record states that someone was of such and such a Parish it just means that they were living there when they married, not that they were born there.

'It could be wrong,
My original question was to ask if anyone could find the parents of George Wagstaff b circa 1722-1784
On reflection, I should have left out Spitalfields.  My error.
I'll rephrase the question:
Trying to find the parents of George Wagstaff b circa 1722 ( 1724) from 'unknown' and died 20 Jan 1784 Christchurch, Spitalfields, Tower Hamlets, London.  Address: Brown's Lane. Occupation : Weaver.
I have Spitalfields parish records  to show date of death and age, but no information to say where he was born.  I also have a marriage record to Susannah King on 22 July 1745 at Collegiate Church of St Katherine by the Tower, Whitechapel. (NOT Spitalfields as I had initially thought) Unfortunately, the marriage I have does not detail parents of either spouse.
Susannah Wagstaff died 2 September 1781 Christchurch, Spitalfields, Tower Hamlets, London.  Address: Brown's Lane
Children:   Baptisms
Susannah 18 Jun 1746 St Mary's Whitechapel.   Address: Angel Alley
William  20 Jan 1747 St Matthew, Bethnal Green, Tower Hamlets.
Ann 29 May 1751 St Matthew, Bethnal Green, Tower Hamlets.
Margaret Aug 1st 1755 St Matthew, Bethnal Green, Tower Hamlets.
Mary 25 April 1757 St Matthew, Bethnal Green, Tower Hamlets.  Died 19 May 1758.
Mary 11 July 1759 St Matthew, Bethnal Green, Tower Hamlets.
George 28 Oct 1761 St Matthew Bethnal Green, Tower Hamlets.
I hope this makes things a bit clearer.
