I have MacDonalds from Angus in my tree but they were originally from County Tyrone in Ulster

The names I have the most trouble with (apart from certain Irish ones that seem to summon up the greatest efforts to spell them in a way no-one has ever thought of before) are Moug and Sang (both in Angus). You'd think they'd be easy, but there are dozens of spellings of Moug and Soundex is no use because it offers Mackie and McKay as alternatives, and Sang keeps being indexed or transcribed as Lang because people don't realise that Sang is a real surname.
Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.

Ormond can sometimes be Orman, Ormont, Ormonde, Norman or Normond , depending on the first name. E.G: John Ormond sounds the same as John Normond

John Ormond, son of David Ormond was from Newmuir in the parish of Forfar.

Any idea where this was @Forfarian ? Was it anywhere near Auchterforfar?

Yes, I saw that but no, I don't recognise it.

There's a Newmuir of Methie / Mithie and a Newmuir of Lour on Scotland's Places, but nowhere in Angus just called "Newmuir".

New Muir of Lour seems to be quite far to the south of Auchterforfar (1km south of Caldhame) and Methie seems to be the modern farm Easter Meathie, which is next to New Muir of Lour.
