Looking for some idea of a date. SIMMS, UK
« on: Thursday 31 October 19 19:17 GMT (UK) »
My cousins and I were routing through Granny's photographs and came across this one. The lady in the centre of the back row, whom we believe is the lady in the second attachment, appears in several photographs. We believe that she must be closely related in some way.

The family came from Quainton in Buckinghamshire and we wondered if anybody out there is a fashion expert who could help us limit our search to a decade or two? Any ideas will be very welcome.

Sadly very few of Granny's photos have any names or dates on them. Granny died in 1973, aged 91.

Hi Heatha

I think you're more likely to get dating info if they were on the photo board.

You could ask a Mod to move them.

You click on the 'Report to Moderator' at the bottom right of your post and make a request to move in the strip that comes up.

I have flagged it but thought that the request would be best to come from you.  :)

The Group photo, I would suggest between 1908 to 1915.  I have a similar photo that is dated specifically to 29 May 1915.The clothes style is extremely similar.

As for the single poser, say 1925 ish, maybe a bit before.  She looks that bit older.

I think it about 1908 to 1912.

Yes I would agree, two men wearing the two and half inch collar which was popular during those dates.
